System restore is a windows application included with windows operating system it’s not unique to your Acer laptop.
Is the system restore point you have chosen not working? Have you tried another system restore point?
The error code you are getting is one that occurs when your antivirus interferes/stops system restore working and throws up that error code, disable your antivirus software and attempt system restore. Good luck.

Clean the recovery CD if you are using one.
If the recovery runs from the hard drive you may have a failing hard drive.
You can download an image of a CD (an ISO file) from
http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm
If you dont have software or are unsure how to burn an ISO image get this:

PXE means Pre Boot Execution. It means that the system is trying to boot from network. To solve this, you need to enter bios. You can do this by pressing F2 during startup. Find the section where you can change boot device order and set the first boot device to HDD or CD. save your settings, hopefully your problem will be solved
SOURCE: How do i restore my laptop when system restore
Your DV 6000 came from the factory with a recovery partation as well as a partation for your user files and data.
If you have not removed this partation, you may be able to bring this partation back into play by hitting F-11 while starting unit.
If the partation is damaged or if you have hard disk damage, this will be useless...
Give it a try, F-11 when starting unit.
Hope this has helped.

what i would do is go in safe mode and u do that by when u first start computer puss f8 key back up the data and sad to say reinstall will be needed if u cant get the data out that way u will have to 1 take that hard drive out and conect it to anther computer or take it to a computer shop and have then take the data off.
our hard drive maybe going out but could just be bad sectors and with a full restore that will fix it
