Switching on and off will not reset. Just unplug from socket and plug in again to reset.

SOURCE: wheat bread

I wrote to Sunbeam customer service and received this response:

"Breadmaker model 5890 has a 30-minute delay cycle on the Wheat setting. This allows for a period at the beginning of the cycle to “soften” the ingredients for better results. During the first 30 minutes, the machine does not do anything."

Apparently, this is by design.

SOURCE: Bread Machine not kneading

http://www.breadmakerguru.com/search.aspx?s=tr900
This site has bands/belts for breadmakers. I am buying my new paddle for the tr900s breadman pro from there. Perhaps your belt is broken? I personally have never replaced one, but it should not be too hard. Make sure you unplug the breadmaker before opening it up at all.

Try running the breadmaker with no pan in it and see if the paddle shaft turns at all during the cycle. Also, the paddle will not turn at all in the first 30 minutes of certain cycles, like the whole wheat. This is stated on the time chart of the instruction manual for this model.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
Here is a link for a user manual for your bread machine. The manual is in a PDF format which means you need Adobe Reader to open it. If you don't have it on your computer you can obtain a free copy by going to the link below. Best wishes.

Zojirushi bread machine dough cycle not working

It sounds like it is working fine Carol. When bread dough it worked and stretched by the paddle it does make a fat blob, / ball of dough. When that is left to prove, it increases in volume and fills the pan for baking.

I am a trade chef, I make bread by hand. I am retired and make bread very 2 weeks. I have used a bread machine in the past and researched many bread machine issues here on Fixya. It is important to load the ingredients in the right order, wet ingredients first and dry ingredients on top. They are really only suitable for yeast breads with high gluten flour. No good for your Christmas Cake!

I made basic white bread recipe with my blakc and decker bread machine with dough setting. When I took from the machine, the dough was dry and heavy. It looks like not enough liquied in the dough. I am not...

Can you tell me what kind of flour you used? In other words was it all purpose flour, bread flour etc.? Maybe we can figure out what went wrong. Your machine is probably fine. Bread machines are pretty tough.

First time use. set machine to dough and pressed

Hi, Keep the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no...then the belt fell off. If the motor spins, check to make sure the paddle spins freely. Keep pan out and turn paddle by hand. If no then the bearing is frozen. If that's ok..make sure you inserted the pan correctly into machine. If everything checks out then it's a faulty machine. Before you do anything send it out for warranty service. Usually it's warranted for a year. Hank

My Sunbeam breadmaker runs all cycles but doesnt mix.Breadpan is

Bread Machine Replacement Parts If you are having problems with your bread machine you may be able to fix it with replacement parts. That is if it is the paddles or the pan you are having problems with. If it is something within the bread machine that is not working properly then you probably won’t have a lot of luck finding these bread machine replacement parts.
Keep in mind the price of the bread machine replacement parts as well. If they are very expensive you will be better off just buying a new bread machine. But, if your bread machine was really expensive and is still in good shape and the replacement parts aren’t that much, then the replacement parts might be a better option for you.
Most bread machines work well for years without the need for replacement parts and many machines have warranties as well. But, if you are having problems then you will need to decide if replacement parts or a new machine are the right option for you. If you need replacement parts then call the manufacturer of your bread machine.

TR440 Breadman won't begin kneading once "start" button is pushed

Hi Mindy.......it takes 30 minutes to PREHEAT this silly machine for wheat bread. I thought I did something wrong, too........I stopped it twice after it preheated for about 15 minutes. I did not want to waste anything so I let it stay in the machine.....I just went to check the machine and it started after 30 minutes of preheating.

I wish they would mention this in the book!!!
