hi try first to insert a clean up CD, and test your Cd player with an original CD, if the problem persist , your laser sense is defficient you have to go to fix it to a specialist.

SOURCE: cd doors don't open and Errors 1 and 4

I had the same problem with my CMT-EP707. I read on this site to try various combinations of turning power off then turning the power back on while holding down either or both of the stop play button and the eject button for the affected CD tray. What seemed to work for me was turning on the power while holding down the eject button for CD tray 2, even though the error referred to CD tray 1.

When try to play cd the word error comes up on display and will not play the cd

check that the cd works on another stereo and if it is a burnt copy or a different region your player can not read it so try another cd being a genuine one and see if it plays if it does it with all cds then you may have a problem with the head unit or the laser that reads the cd or the region on the head unit is not the same as your region as alot of people buy these stereo units off ebay but alot of them dont play in some contries

Why won't burned mp3's play in my stereo?

Your stereo either doesn't play MP3 formats or the copy's you are burning are incorrectly encoded, Change burning software to nero or something well known and try again.

C.d player doesnot play

Hi.

Not all in-car stereo are compatible with computer recorded CD.

Try setting Roxio to "Close Disk" and "Close Session" or "Disk at Once" (try all) while recording the CD on PC.

If that does not work, then the stereo is not compatible with recorded CDs.

Regards.

My cd plays then doesn't and says error3 i don't have a manual the stereo is clarion ADX5655Rz. i alsocan't seem to set any time on the clock.

Error 3.CD error message.
The pick-up is out of focus during play mode due to scratches on the disc or contamination.

This can be a disc format error (try a previously known working disc)
Or the laser may be out of alignment. - in this case professional repair/cleaning/alignment is recommended.

CD changer will not play reads "player error" .

Most new car-stereo's don't have an "oldschool" CD-drive, but really a CD-ROM drive; meaning that they won't (properly) read and/or play copy-protected CDs.

Most CD protections are specially designed not to work in CD-ROM drives to prevent copying. As a side-effect most of those protected CDs won't work in car-stereo's.

Try a CD without copy-protection (like an homemade audio CD using burning software on your computer) and see it that works ?

In case that doesn't work either, your car's CD-drive is probably broken ...
