You should download the firmware V1.2 from here:

Then decompress this .zip extended file to a separate folder. Read detailed information described in the file T.sonic 840 Firmware update procedure.pdf about how to do the upgrade exactly.
Do it all step by step.

Try a RESET, holding the MENU/On-Off button for more than 10 seconds.

When the player needs a long time to read a lot of files from one folder, reorganize files into a number of folders.
Should the player freeze, because the format of files does not match the M4204, use the easyRip software to get the data fitting for this device.

After downloading follow the below steps on How to Firmware upgrade. -

1) Download attached file to your PC
2) Connect MP3 Player to PC with USB cable
3) Excute Recovery Utility (See Instruction Guide)
4) Excute Firmware upgrade

There's a firmware update for the SMPK4066 available on the web:
Right click next link and select "Save target as..." for saving the zip file to a location on the computer.

I would go ahead and do the firmware upgrade from Samsung's website - make sure you enter in your EXACT model # - including the part after the YP-T10. The RSC (resource) files need updating, and I can't think of a better way to do that than to upgrade the firmware. There is a small possibility that you have files on there with expired DRM licenses, but I would try firmware upgrade first.

That means your not using the right firmware file. Your audio player needs a specific firmware file for his model or version.
