Have to remove cover over the printer and you should see the ribbon, looks like a c

I searched this online, and have found the following instructions:

1) Set the power switch to OFF
2) Remove the printer cover
3) Remove the ink roller by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it upward.
4) Install the correct color new ink roller and press it in the correct position. Make sure that the ink roller is securely in place.
5) Put back the printer cover.

The ribbon code is BR80C. Nu-Kote has a version with a part number of NUKBR80C. You should be able to order it on line at Staples.

Ink roller type EA-772R
You can find it in any good (refer your machine make and model). There are compatible roller with different references. Also check online (do a gGoogle search or check Amazon.com and you will find several links fopr different seller.
Note that the same type of ribbon is use by diffrent calculators, evem from different brands, so lok for the image of the print roller to see if it looks like t he roller of your machine)

Sharp EL-1197PIII Calculator won't print using the blank ink. Ribbon is correctly installed.

I still have to believe that your ribbon is not quite seated properly on this. I would check that again. If this is not a "cartridge" then Check to see if it is upside down.

I have replaced the ribbon twice now but the print still comes out very light

I'm having the same problem. This is my second Sharp EL-2630PIII calculator and the first one did not have this problem (prior job). I can change the ribbon and the print is still so light I cannot scan it as part of my work papers... which is a huge problem as an accountant.

The only thing I can think of is the ribbon is not threaded properly. (ex. in front of carrier instead of behind or vice versa)

I don't know how to replace the ribbon on the SHARP EL-2630P The ribbon was removed prior so there is nothing to see how it was inserted. Thanks

I cannot seem to add on my sharp el 2192 calculator just not getting my numbers printed

you may need an expert hand to do this:
open the case (4 screws at the back)
get the inner side of the buttons cleaned with nail polish remover/thinner.
after a while put all back.
power it on and check.
