Just doing a quick search, I found a copy of the user's manual at SINGER MAGIC 8134 8234 Sewing Machine Instruction Book User Manual . I couldn't see instructions for the exact model number you mention.
These are for the Singer 5932, which I assume will be very similer to your machine.
