SOURCE: I have a 1991 marathon ezgo cart 36v I am replacing the potentiometer and need the terminal hok up on the pot i have forgotten them hell getting old is a pain

Hi Thomas:
Can't help you with the pot connections other than in my experience with smaller ones, there were only 2 wires and they were isolated from the "shell". You could check that with a continuity meter.
Since all the pot is doing is varying the available power, it didn't matter which way the current was flowing through it.
Undoubtedly I am willing to be corrected.
As for the getting old, there are certainly pains, but, there's still enough parts that work that we can play. Guitars, motorcycles, pool,........... Hang in there.

1996 EZGO STREET READY ELECTRIC GOLF CART. Why does my 96 Ezgo hesitate?

Question edited for a lot more clarity.
Question moved to Golf Carts.

Probably a dirty throttle controller. Strip down and spray with electrical switch cleaner.

1999 electric ezgo marathon motor hums but doesn't turn

Motors that hum but do not turn need replacing/repairing as they have a short in the windings or are seized or the start/capacitor has failed.. Have an electrician check it out.
