Hi,the message that pops up saying "Network Service Unavailable" might be from the message settings not correctly set and it is unable to send messages.

You can go to the message setting options on the cell phone to confirm if it is rightly set.

To be sure, you can also use the sim card on another phone to confirm, by using the a friends phone to send a message.

If the network was unavailable it may have been a problem with your network provider you may have been in an area with low connectivity and as for the "Sim card rejected" when you smashed bits and pieces may have came loose in your phone you might need to change your service provider and get a new phone.

remove your sim card clean the pcb or circuit in it once then insert again and try if problem continues contact your operator

I had that happen with my phone before. i called them and they told me i needed a new sim card. i bought a cheap one on eBay, popped it in my phone and never had a problem since. sounds to me like you need a new sim card. good luck :)

Perform the following steps to try and resolve the issue:

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Remove the battery (while the device is still powered on).
3. Remove the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card.
4. Reinsert the SIM card and the battery to reset the BlackBerry smartphone.
