I never heard that one as of yet. The two 110 lines are for separate circuits. One for the dryers controls and the other for the heating element only

Since you have a gas dryer, your problem is probably caused by the ingition panel.Generally, with a gas dryer, there is an ignition device that heats to a specific temperature and this causes the gas to ignite. When this electric ignition fails to work, the gas will not ignite and there will be no heat. I had this happen and had to call a professional. It was a simple matter of installing a new ignition device and it worked perfectly for years. I hope this helps! If the dryer is electric and bought in the United States then you can plug it in. The 110/220 power rating basically means that some parts if the dryer use 110v. All 220v is is 2 110v independent circuits sharing the same common ground.
