Ok well... i haven't been able to troubleshoot the problem much but on most multi-disc players there should be a manual eject button or switch that will release the magazine from the holding unit. Besides that i would refer you to a professional who actually works on Sony multi-disc players

No power to the disc changer, how do I manually eject the magazine

There is a manual eject slot on the side of the CD changer. You will need a small flat head screwdriver or a pry tool to insert into the slot.

Jammed CD & Magazine in an Alpine CHA-S634

Mine jammed after I dropped it, trying to swap it into a new car :-)
Same problem, however. Three of the six CD trays had wandered into the righthand mechanism (which selects and plays one cd at a time). Nothing else at all, most fortunately, was broken.
I removed the cover (3 screws on each side), and the small black faceplate that holds the eject button. The main faceplate came off too, needless to say; no screws, just tabs.
You have to remove the side brackets also, and the angle-adjust spring loaded pins on both sides need to be slid out. Then the body of the cd changer rotates out of its cover.
Now, you can see down into the mechanism. A CD was still stuck in the reader, along with several shifted trays. I could simply remove the CD, and with a small screwdriver, shifted the trays back over so that I could then successfully eject it. I removed and realigned the trays, which had been jammed, and it worked once more! Reassembled and reinstalled ;-)

Clarion dc 625 cartridge

yas long as all the trays are still loaded in the cart/mag then you should be able to release it with a long flat peice of stiff card. push it under the cart/mag and kinda wiggle it this should trip the catch and pop out your mag

Inoperable CD changer

Hi the alpine/merc/bmw cd changer all seam to suffer with the same problem, they say no disc, or no mag try firmly hitting the mag with the handle of a screw driver. the loadinga arm, tends to get stuck. you could try using some grease on the arms, and levers, white spray gease works best. but dont forget to cover the laser beforehand, you dont want grease on it :) Mark www.carradiospares.co.uk
