Had the same issue with a 58" Toshiba TV. After getting jerked around by customer support, they replaced it with a new one. If it is under warranty, contact Toshiba to get a tech dispatched.

I have a brand new L2114a lamp for sale. I paid 299 plus shipping on ebay but it turned out to be the wrong one (despite what the manual says). I ordered the correct one I needed from HP. I am willing to part with it for 200. I can send pictures of the lamp and the box and the reciept. This is a BRAND NEW LAMP.

Any set that won;t turn on is probably due to a power supply converter which has burned out switching semiconducors. The first thing to do with a set which will not turn on is to check out all the switching gear (ie switchmode converter circuits) and all associated drive and driver semiconductor devices. Once you've done this you will usually find the problem.
