Check for stuck paper and remove if any. Then check if motor is ok with a multimeter and also main switch.

First things First...UNPLUG THE UNIT. It sounds like it has been fed too many pages at one time. You may also want to dump any shredded paper so there is plenty of room for the shredder blades to pull in the paper. If the paper catcher is too full the blades can grab shreds from the bottom and stop the blades movement. Just be careful. Shredders can be dangerous.

The shredder will not cut the paper. the motor
I just had this problem. I took the screws out from the bottom of the shredder and opened it up, take a look and see if there are any cracks around the frame that surrounds and holds the shredder in place, if so you have to glue the crack so the frame is stable again.(the crack/break in the frame prevents the paper from cutting because the teeth on the shredder are not fitted properly). hope this helps.

CD shredder jammed with small CD pieces
If you are able to remove the top. It is easy. Usually 4 screw to remove the top. Be careful with the short cable connecting to the board. Open it up pressure clean the entire unt and especially the sensors top and bottom.

Office max paper shredder switch
If you are referring to the paper feed sensor switch in the paper throat it sounds like the pc board or switch itself may be bad. I could troubleshoot a little better if I actually had you on the phone. A Customer Service Rep can help you at 1-800-945-4545.

No Power!
Check and make sure the paper catch bin is locked into place.
IF the shredder doesn't see that the bin is in place, the shredder will appear dead for safetly reasons.

There is a possibility that the control board was cracked but the only way to check that, is to take it apart and check.

I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad pc1.gif board, contact manufacturer for more info.
