Looking for a startermotor for 27 hp engine or something that wil suit plz Collier

The yellow-red striped wire is the start signal to the relay.
First be sure the remote control is in NEUTRAL. There is a security preventing starting in gear!
Take a wire from your battery positive post and connect it on the 'command' post on the starter relay ( yellow-red wire).
Does the starter motor turns?
Yes: check on the connector to the remote control. If startermotor runs, check the wire IN the remote-control and so further.
Check also if you have +12V on the ignition key switch.
If the startermotor doesn't run in the first step.
If you don't hear a 'tic' in the relay when powering if, or you don't see small sparks while connecting,replace the relay.
Jumps the relay ( Remove the thick cable to the startermotor and hold it agains the batterypost on the relay. Startermotor runs= replace the relay. Startermotor doesn't run=replace startermotor.

Hope you've understood my explanations and you'll find and report the fault of your engine

If you have the axles that have the pressed on collier your inter face between the collier and axel is to small. Check the axel diameter to see if it is within spec.
If you have the axles with the circlip that hold the collier on the circlip is not seating correctly, check that the shoulders on the recess are square and the circlip has seat correctly.

check the wiring on the startermotor, should have a large red terminal which will be perminant live 12volt or 24 volt what ever your wagon battery supply is? you can check this with a multimeter. then check a smaller wire to solinoid above this gives a live feed only when key is turned to start position, if voltage on wire then remove from startermotor make sure you dont earth it out on body causing a short. if still turning over on its own its the startermotor faulty, if stops look for starter relay or key switch faulty.

If you don't even get a click or an attempt to start, then you probably have a faulty ignition switch. The contacts get worn and creates an intermittent no start condition. Hope this helps.
