SOURCE: lost system password

Only way to remove a BIOS password on any computer is to remove all power sources from the motherboard so its memory can be cleared.

First, remove the main battery from the laptop. Then you must locate and find the little coin cell battery (It looks like a watch battery) on the laptop and remove it for about a minute or so. Then you can replace them in the opposite order.

Your coin cell battery is in a bay on the bottom of your computer. Enjoy!
1. Before removing the coin battery:

2. Locate the memory module cover on the bottom of the system.

4. Lift and remove the cover from the system.

5. Locate the coin battery.

6. Use a fingernail (or small flathead screwdriver, if necessary) to release the battery ZIF connector.

8. Reverse the previous steps to replace the coin battery.

SOURCE: NEED ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD FOR DELL LATITUDE C600/C500

If this password is for Windows, then you will need to contact who set the password originally. Optionally you may use tools online to reset the password. This would require purchasing a utility like SpotMau.

If this password is for the computer it self, before booting to the OS, you have to remove the BIOS battery to clear the BIOS password.

Removing the screws on the bottom of the laptop, the bezel at the top and the keyboard, check the bottom and top of the system board, you should see a flat-cell battery or a plastic coated series of batteries with a cable going to the system board.

Good luck

SOURCE: Dell Inspiron 6400, asking for HDD password

Insert OS cd in drive and start reinstalling by selecting repair mode now once all files are loaded system will reboot when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10
this will give you access to your account also you can reset all passwords
Now restart lappy and let the system boot normally without OS cd in drive
now you will come to old screen and previously configured desktop with all intact aplication and icons on desktop and it will no more ask you for password till you set a new one

Thanks and regards

How to bypass system password-administrator password dell venue 8 pro tablet

I will attempt to tackle your problem, however, I am uncertain if you need to bypass the bios password or the login password to windows operating system. Some hard drives also have passwords but from your question it seems to be one of the former 2. If it is a bios password or a windows login you can google Hiren's boot CD 15.2 restored v 1.1 DVD Proteus.ISO and follow the directions for creating a Bootable USB or burn it to DVD with any .ISO image burner like roxio or download image burn...it's free. At start up you may have to press esc or f-11 or f-12 to get the boot menu, choose the device that the boot CD is on by using the arrows on the keyboard, highlight the device and press enter, you will get the menu from the CD, depending on your issue , bios password you must go into dos mode, if login to windows you can enter either dos or mini windows xp or mini windows 7 and follow the instructions to remove or reset the passwords.
Yes......give me your service tag number and I will generate the password for you, I have the factory service tag to password generator.....you have a bios password lock. If you also run into a windows password the horns CD will help you.

HOW DO I BYPASS THE PASSWORD ON DELL VENUE PRO 8 AND HARD RESET

When you think you can bypass the password why then install one? In the worst case you could try to reset it to factory settings, but then you will lose all data on it. If you have a good recent backup I would advice to do that.

This tutorial is about how to reset Dell password without losing any data. Usually, when we realize losing laptop password, the best way is using password reset disk if you have created it before.

The MOST efficient way if you don't have a password reset disk
, try to find Windows Password Key to reset your account
password to blank without knowing the current password
