Likely a battery problem. Batteries tend to fail when they sit for a while. If your electrical guage was reading 9 - 14, with a dead battery, the alternator was working. Also, if the alternator was dead, you'd likely have noticed dimming headlights and other electrical issues.
But, you could take the battery to AutoZone and let them check it - free.

If the power (electricity) itself dies while you are driving then the problem is more of electrical issue. If the vehicle just looses the power to move but all lights are ok, headlight are working, horn is working etc.. then the problem would be the fuel system. Check the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay since you already replaced the filter.
