Hi. When I power up my Laptop, the screen reads: " We apologize for the inconvenience but Windows did not start successfully..." There are options to start in safe mode and last known good configuration or normally and no matter which option is chosen it begins to load and returns to the "we apologize" screen. What can I do?

Hi, Just try to use Last Good Know configuration option and let it complete. If it reboots immediatly, that means you need to recover you Operating System(Windows).

Hi, I do apologize for the inconvenience you have been facing. The reason why the laptop does not reboot to Windows even after reinstalling Windows is because the issue is with the hard drive not being recognized the reason for which you get a blinking line on the screen after the Acer logo .In this case I would suggest that if the laptop is under warranty please contact the Acer Technical support and have an order placed for repair.
Thank you for your time and best wishes for your effort.

If you added any exta hardware means kindly remove it and boot the computer
Then you try boot by selecting the option of Boot using last known good configuration.
If the boot is successful then you can boot later booting without any problem.

If boot is not successful and this problem is happened after installing any software or driver software means boot in safe mode by pressing f8 key and uninstall it

HELP! Laptop will not boot up!

Try an XP repair:
Boot with the Win XP install CD-ROM, it loads a minimal operating system, similar to DOS, but compatible with Win XP. At the first screen you select install Win XP (not Recovery Console) and at the next screen it will find that you already have Win XP and offer to attempt a repair. This repair should not touch your Applications or data; it just reinstalls the Windows files. This is great because when it works you don't need to reinstall all your software.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Windows laptop won't boot -

Try pressing the F8 key at start up. This should take you to safe mode, from here you will be able to shut Windows down properly and reboot without the loss on any data except for what you were working on at the time of the power loss. If it won't let you do this and stays in the same loop, it could be that the hard drive crashed and needs replacing. I don't do data recovery from a dead hard drives, so I can't give you an estimate on that, but a hard drive replacement, system reload with drivers and updates will run anywhere from $150 up to $600 depending on what you want.
