While I don't have that model's diagram,
normally
you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.
Normally the problem is not the spring, but a broken
spring mounting tab on the door latch head (hook) assembly or the inner
door panel.
If it's the door panel, it's usually easier and cheaper to use epoxy and some kind of hardware to fashion a new spring mount.
The door latch head (hook) is easy to replace or repair if that's the issue.

Hey Abraham Acevedo, thank you for the post!
From my understanding the door on your Frigidaire microwave, PLMV168, is not staying closed. You could be seeing an issue with either your door latch or latch assembly within the microwave. Since these components require patience and precision to replace or remove from your appliance, I always suggest seeking professional assistance. One must be very careful handling these replacement parts as they can lead to potential harm. -Matt

If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.
Hello Scott Noble - If I was in your position, I personally will recommend consulting a certified technician first for an accurate diagnosis. Depending on what part(s) is damaged from the door, the microwave could possibly have faulty switches, door switches, or latch which only a professional can repair.
