SOURCE: screen goes black then says VGA then says No connection
1. Video Driver (download the latest video driver for the video maker)
2. Wrong resolution is being used. try step 3
3. Use a lower one 800x600 or 640x480
4. Monitor can't handle the Video Card set to the max try step 3
5. Video Card is faulty (replace it)

Sony PS3 has an Audio issue with HDMI, the only way to cure this bbuilt in defect is to use a seperate audio cable and use the HDMI for the video, I suggest the audio hook be a optical digital cable, if you don't have one they are avail on ebay very cheap, if you don't have the optical input on the TV then use standard RCA audio A and B cables

the game resolution is not supported by your monitor....this is the reason your screen goes blank....
by the next time if the screen goes blank,
press alt+ctrl+del together and check are you able to see the task manager....
if you can see the task manager, then close the game from that window by selecting end task....
if you cant see the task manager, then press ctrl+alt+del together 2 times and check....
if nothing works, then try by checking with any HD monitors if available with you or with your friends...
under the decals on ether side are four screws remove these and
separate the sides under these you will find white wedges that hold the case halfs together pull out these wedges and open the case. repair unit and Reverse the prosess to reassemble the unit. If you know how to work on electronics you may need to replace the electrolitic capacitors while the case is open. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
