SOURCE: unit not powering up
There is a fuse located behind the control panel. If that is good, or replacing it does not fix it, you may have a problem with the control panel, which we repair nationwide for $39.95. We have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info (as well as a text file which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems) at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

hi
You can remove the grill on top; there should be screws on the top of the microwave and/or within the grill itself. Then remove the control panel, should be one screw on the top of the panel, then lift up on the panel and tilt it out. The fuses should be visible from there. If the fuse is the problem it's easy to change, just remember to unplug the unit first before working on it. And I would suggest getting a single outlet surge protector for the unit; microwaves are very sensitive to power spikes. Please contact me if you need any more help.

There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating
components.

I would suspect the fuse or magnetron thermostat.

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.
YOUR
SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!
Attempt
this only if you are competent.
If
your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the
mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to
the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY
USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual
cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or
sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the
appliance.
Hope this helps.
