SOURCE: Tape won't come out!

I had the exact same problem, and just by dumb luck, I managed to get the tape compartment to pop open after trying hundreds of things. Maybe this will work for you too...who knows??? What I did was to first remove the battery and AC power to "reset" the camera (I guess). I then put the battery back in place and WHILE HOLDING THE CAMERA IN THE UPRIGHT (AS IF USING THE CAMERA FOR VIDEO) POSITION, I pushed the "Open/Eject" latch. VIOLA!!! Like I said, it may be dumb luck, but I haven't had the problem again. It may be that gravity helped to take the stress off the ejecting mechanism...dunno???? BTW, when I was having the problem, the mechanism would "click" 3 or 4 times while trying to move the tape out. Good luck!!! I hope this helps someone!

SOURCE: The no tape and eject symbols are flashing at the same time.

Those signs means Record tab on tape is ON, eject tape and check record tab and make sure to set it on Record position.

I Have a sony DCR HC21 and the veiwing panel door has come loose. The camera will not turn on or charge. I really want to get the tape out.

You should see a reset release button to get tape out, not sure where on that model, but it will be there I can assure you, just insert pointed point like a pin and out it pops.

Sony PC-105 - camera won't charge, hence tape will not eject. Is

I just had the same issue except I left my camera out in the rain. My camera is a DCRF-HC32 Sony Handicam. There is a reset button on the side of the camera where the eject door is. Take a paper clip and hold the reset button in for 5-10 secs. The camera will beep, power on, open the door and it ejected.

My sony handycam dcr-hc26 door won't close. error C:32:11

Hi,
Remove battery/ power source from camcorder for minute, reattach battery/ power source and close the tape door.
If that does not solve problem then I'm afraid, tape mechanism got defective and will be replaced.
Let me know if you need tape mechanism part number info.
Thanks.

Cannot find way to eject tapecassette

Check eject lever near battery, press it downward to open tape compartment, take out old tape and put new tape, close tape door and let it go inside by itself. Close tape compartment.

Below image will help you to locate eject button/ lever in DCR-HC18E camcorder.
Thanks.

Sony DCR-PC100 does not eject (well not really!)

Don't think this is a complete solution, but it might help. Try checking out the buttons on the camera. I've got one of those same cameras but my problem is the ribbon cable in the cassette carrier broke and I'm on the hunt for a new one, and a service manual. By the way, how about emailing a copy of the service manual to me at [email protected]. Thanks. I might be able to help further with a copy of that.
