My Konami slots freezes up. I have been unable to initiate any game for two days. My browser and system is working fine, I can do everything else. What could be causing this - is it their site?

I have the same problem with my genesis. Most likely it freezes if you make the cartridge move any, which is hard to avoid on these older consoles. Same goes for any cartridge based console i.e. NES,SNES,N64 sega
Theres a cheap way to keep the cartridge from moving though, heres what i do; As your inserting the game, wedge something like a quarter, or a small piece of cardboard with the game. It keeps the game from moving, and thus keeping it from freezing.

Since it's a problem with only one game, i guess it's a problem with the dvd media, try to get another copy of the game and see if the problem continues...

You could also try to clear XBOX 360's cache:

1. Go to the system blade and then select memory.
2. Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

I am having the same problem with my PS2, but I have an HDD inside of mine. I am told this is a circuit problem inside the PS2 that doesn't allow the information to be transfered to the RAM. That's why you see “No Data” instead of the usual problem of “Disc Read Error”. I hate to say it, but it sounds like you are going to have to do the same thing I am about to do. Send it in to Sony and get it repaired.

I am also pretty sure this PS2 you are talking about is the large fat one, and not the slim one.

Try other disks, if it freezes on some and not on the others then the lens could be dirty or in the worst case faulty. Make sure the discs are clean.
