I have a Nikota saws all and it works fine except for when I want to stop, or when I release the trigger switch, it will not stop running. So, therefore, it is DANGEROUS!!

I fixed it once, however, but it didn't last very long. The switch is stuck in the operating position. Also- I've just taken it apart again to fix it, and when I did a very small part popped out of the switch box. I need a diagram as well to put the little what looks to be a contact point of some kind, back where it belongs. Please help me. Thanx.

You are correct, it does sound dangerous. Unfortunately, your query has nothing to do with Cameras.

SOURCE: automatic gearshift stuck in park

The release for the shifter is tied to the brake lites, check to see if the brake lights work, if they don't then test the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal, if it lights a test lite when you press the brake it is ok, in that case you need to check the little solenoid that pulls the cable to unlock the shifter, it is bolted to the top of the steering column, in order to get at it you will have to unbolt the column and drop it dow.

SOURCE: i need a wiring diagram for a milwaukee heav duty circular saw

It is probably something like a 6365 and on all the Milwaukee products they have a switch wiring diagram but nothing for the switch. I would recommend going to a local repair center with the switch and match it up with a new one probably less than 15.00 If you give me your location with zip code I can direct you to the closest one. Let me know

SOURCE: Saw runs continuously

The on off switch has a contact that has probably fused together from making and breaking causing an arc. You may try giving it a good 'wrap' with the back of a screw driver to free it, or replace the switch.

SOURCE: Karcher 3.97M Short cycles after trigger is released.

Dear csdamman,
There is a valve called the spill-valve. It is often called the control valve. This valve activates the micro-switch. When the gun is released, pressure builds up and compresses this spill valve. At the same time it puts off the micro-switch. This will then stop the machine. Now when the spill valve is faulty it cannot hold compreesion under pressure so it starts de-compressing and starts the machine again. This goes on in a cycle as you explained. So you have to change the spill valve. If the spill valve that operates the micro-switch is part of the upper head,...then the whole head must be renewed. Myself I rarely service Spill Valves. The best thing is to renew it. From your explanation it seems that you did not take notice of this Spill-Valve. Infact when you mentioned Pressure Switch, I do not know if you are refering to the spill valve. If you are....then saying that the Pressure Switch moves and operates freely, does not mean that it is OK.
In certain machines in the outlet...there is a small valve, coloured black and red or green and yellow. This sometimes when faulty, it gives the fault you mentioned. Sometimes an inlet valve gives the fault you mentioned. But from my expirience it is most of the time that the Spill-Valve is the fault.
Regards,
Fulltech.

SOURCE: gun wil not trigger after stopping

I'm not real clear on what you're saying, but I think it's that the trigger will not shut down the pressure as it should. It stays stuck on. The other info is how long you've had the washer, but my hunch is that maybe you have hard water, and the deposit build up may be getting the trigger stuck. Try spaying some penetrating oil inside the wand to loosen any deposits that may have built up.

Replacing the brushes did not prevent eventual failure of the motor. Possibly the windings are staring to short.

The operating switch for my Nikota saws all is stuck in the operating position. Won't stop running unless I unplug it. Is there a diagram showing correct assembly?

The small thumb operated safety device on the left side of the grip may well be the culprit. I personally detest these "saaaafffttyy" devices, some people absolutely will not operate any power tool w/o one. That being said, from my experience, that safety device sometimes binds up the operating switch. In any case, you are going to have to take the saw apart. The screws come out easy/hard sometimes, but patience with them has always worked for me. When they are out, gently pry the 2 halves apart. The problem in all likelihood become readily apparent. If nothing is holding the switch closed, you will just have to replace it. Replaced/unstuck & operating normally, toss/keep the "saaaaffftty switch" as you prefer. If you toss it, you have to keep your trigger finger in the safe position, just like you have to do with a firearm.

My hitachi miter saw started to buzz when plugged in. It's seems to work normal when trigger is pulled but starts to smoke when I release the trigger. Bushing poor good. I have no idea what is wrong?

have it investigated by an appliance repair shop
the system is this
plug in --no noise
pull trigger -- blade spins and makes running noise
release trigger and blade stops -- no noise
anything else indicates a serious problem with the unit especially if it is smoking.

I have a 46 cc with an 18" bar. The first few times I used the saw it worked fine. Now I am up to the 5th use and once started the blade spins and the saw runs as if you are giving it full gas. ...

If this is a new saw and you have only used it a few time it may still be under warranty. Saw sometimes carry up to 1 year warranty on some applications(what you use it for-home-owner or commercial). If the saw is out of warranty it sounds like you have a problem with the rod alignment (actually it's a stiff wire) but it seems that it may be holding the throttle valve open. Check the trigger action to see if is actually smooth and not binding. When you squeeze and release the trigger the saw should stop. If it does not you must find where it is binding. Look under the carburetor and check the action there. Squeeze and release that trigger until you see something either binding or out of the ordinary in the action. When you release the trigger the saw should stop. Have fun. Then get back to work!

Erratic starting circular saw

Sounds to me like you have a bad cord. Clamp the saw to a workbench so that it can start and run safely without you having to hold it. Put tape or a wire tie around the trigger to hold it in. THEN plug it in. Then move the cord around, especially near where it enters the saw. If the saw starts and stops intermittently you have confirmed the bad cord. Good luck.

Where is the blade brake on the miter saw

The brake on electric motor driven tools is the field & armature. When running the switch provides power to both sides/poles of the field through the brushes and armature. When you release the switch half of the field is powered pulling the armature to a stop. If your bladed continues to spin when the switch is released, you need to replace the switch. The Ridgid part number for the proper switch is 503317000.

Model #55-6848-8 14 inch metal cut off saw. purchased at Canadian tire corp. this saw sits for long periods of time in between uses.it is still in brand new condition. the saw worked a-1 for the first two...

It is simple to fix this. Take out the switch and open the switch. The contacts are stuck. It takes little to open the contacts. You may need to smooth contacts off with emery paper. It need to do the same. It works fine after. The difficult thing is to open the handle and get the switch out.

BRAKE DOES NOT STOP BLADE WHEN TRIGGER IS

the guard not releasing could be dirt around the spindle hub or the guard is bent, I would unplug tool and manually pull the guard down to see which one, if it is just sticking you can use a dry lube to cure that, the break could be dirty commutator or worn out brushes, switch. Give me the model number and I will try and find a breakdown for you and go further.
