Mondaine is a quality Swiss manufacturer of watches, so they will use decent quality mechanisms/movements. You don't say if it is a quartz or a mechanical movement.
I assume by 'barrel pin' you are referring to the crown. Check that the crown is not a screw-down one. Try turning the crown slightly before trying to press it back.
It's possible that there is a fault with the 'latch' that holds the crown and stem in place. Do not attempt to force the crown back in!
If gentle persuasion fails to get the crown back in, I'd suggest a trip to your preferred watch repair centre.

That is super helpful Geoff. It is a quartz watch (battery powered). It may have to take a trip to the watch repair centre. Many thanks

SOURCE: Surface Watch Model 31819 How do you turn the alarm off?

I have a Surface Watch. Not sure if it's the same model number, but the button set up is the same. Here's what I did:

Hold down the bottom right button. While you're holding it down, press the top right button. My bottom right button doesn't seem to always work, so it made it rather difficult to figure out what has going on.

SOURCE: does anybody know which way

mcdevito75 here, Generally your Cartier watch is wound in a clockwise direction simply, due to how it:s made, in this direction the mainspring is tightened or wound and turning the crown in a counter-clockwise position only free wheels the winding mechanism. I would advise you wind your watch in a multi direction, however not to the very, very end of It"s winding capacity, once you feel the crown getting tension only 4--5 more multi-direction turns should be enough to maintain a good wind to your Cartier watch.

SOURCE: I have a Nexxtech Watch

These basic instructions are for most digital watches (and these are for regular to military but you can just follow same instructions to get to oposite) Hope this helps!

  1. Press the "MODE" button---usually on the lower left side of the watch, but sometimes on the right center side---to cycle through to the time display.
  2. Press and hold the "SET" button---usually on the right lower side of the watch---until the seconds flash.
  3. Press "MODE" repeatedly to cycle through the displays that flash: from hours to minutes to month to date and day. At the end of the cycle is the hour display option. Make this option flash.
  4. Press the "SPLIT/RESET" button below the face of the watch to change the hour display option to "24-hour display." This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.
  5. Press the "SET" button again. You are now done. All PM hours should be displaying hours between 12 and 23.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

Testimonial: "Thank you very much. That was easy."

Mondaine Retro automatic day date are not aligned. Date also skips occasionally

Hello Tom Bott,

The Mondaines I have seen a big, bold,
beautiful watches...
Sorry...!!

If it is INDEED NEW... ("The other week")..

I would take it IMMEDIATELY back & get another.

Day-Date watches can INDEED be damaged by
moving the DAY/DATE inside specific times
around midnight...

Most watches
can handle the ABUSE but some
cannot... (keep in mind it could actually be defective).

The watch will not heal itself... and unless you failed to put the stem/winder all the way home... SOMETHING is tragically WRONG with your watch.

My BEST ADVICE... exchange it (now).

How do i set date on mondaine watch model 303003 eg 31 32 33 ?

I know it is a long time ago, but here is the answer.
When the watch is at '28' or '29' or '30' and you want it to go next to '1' then pull out the crown just ONE click and rotate it, advancing the date without having to wind the hands round.

Ive had my Seiko automatic titanium scuba 200m about 3 years when i got it, i had it sized down by taking out 3 links which the store gave me back and 3 pins that go with , ive put on a few pounds maxed...

Thanks for contacting FixYa.
Seiko normally will send out up to 5 extra links on new watches. I am not sure on watches that are 3 years old but you will need to contact Seiko on this one. MAYBE a watchmaker locally will have some extra peices that will work too.
You can contact Seiko here:

Re: Mondaine A692 alrm watch. how do you set the alarm function?

Go to "www.mondaine.com/after-sales-service-mondaine" where you will see a list of downloads.

Unfortunately they do not seem to correspond to the number that you stated but the description might tell you which one is yours.

The hour hand on my Mondaine wristwatch has slipped so that on the hour it is displaced from the hour number. I believe Mondaine watches carry a lifetime guarantee so can it be fixed ?

Yes. The service you are looking for is called a hand alignment. This isnt usually very expensive so you might even try your local watch repair shop as opposed to sending it in.

Link pins keep falling out on Ceramic Watch

They probably forgot to put the little locking barrel back in before hammering the links shut again. Some watches have the link, the pin, and a barrel that goes in the link before the pin is hammered in. If your watch needs this barrel then the pin will NOT stay in without it, no matter what.
