Shut down your printer and disconnect the power cord from the printer. Wait for a few minutes and link the cable back to the printer and power supply. Reload the papers into the input tray. Load the papers that are compatible with your printer. Adjust the paper width guide while loading the input tray. Also, reinsert the cassette in the printer. You will hear an electric sound when the cassette is inserted properly. Try a print and check if the issue is solved.
If the issue continues, click the Apple icon or Start menu on your computer or laptop. Select System Preferences and tap Printers & Scanners. Delete the unwanted printer names in the devices list on your computer. Remove and readd your printer and get connected. the sensor switch is bad, sounds like you either need to have repaired or replace since printers are soo cheap now

what do you mean RAM do you need an upgrade or replacement

when ever to get this kind of message just try to fwd the tape mannualy, or just make sure tht when u are rew. the tape dont rewind tht completely....

change the mechnical assembley of casete

I also have this problem, with a SONY DCR-TRV480E PAL. The problem is when I insert the cassette it reads on screen that "re-insert the cassette"

have you contacted canon on the problem if not then I sugest you contact them on their website search for canon in your browser and find the genuine web page with contact info on the only sugestion is clean heads and try again if same message then get it serviced. it could be down to loading mechinisem.
