With this type of issue.. its the transducer mounting ...99% of the time!!

in 99% this problem arises because of firmware corruption.... or rest 1% hardware failure... so update firmware of your gadget ...

Hi Chris, Did you get a fix for this issue? My Dad's Eagle Cuda 128 is also having the same problem - constant reading of 60ft. I'd love to hear if you have a solution. Many thanks,

You can take a picture of the transom of the boat and email it to our customer service group and they will give you an idea of where the transducer needs to be mounted. There email address is [email protected].

I have a 597ci hd when boat gets up to 13 mph the depth reading goes crazy could go fom 7ft to 900 and you have to reeboot to get it to work again tranducer is mounted the way it said but it looks like it...
If it works under 15 mph, it's not the depthfinder or transducer. Most likely cavitation under transducer. Try lowering or relocating.

My temp is always fine but my depth will be working and then go to 1.2 ft and may start working again. sometimes i have to restart it to get it working, but it will still go to 1.2 ft at sometime
If you know someone that will let you try your unit on their hookup (same type unit) you may be able to isolate the problem to know if it is in the transducer or the unit. If you have the same results with a different hookup, then you would need to return your unit to our factory for a service check.
