Remove the plug at the back and look for corrosion. Check you have power.

No, you need a new one. They are a sealed unit and not repairable.

The arch is caused by a object beginning to come into the sound cone, centering in the cone, then moving out of the cone. The fish I'd just identifies a fish somewhere in the cone.

This could be a lot of things. The unit employs multiple signals to gather data and it could be the transponder not getting the signal or it could be something simple like the sensitivity. Humminbird 757c Operation Manual Sensitivity

The unit may be defective.

If it works under 15 mph, it's not the depthfinder or transducer. Most likely cavitation under transducer. Try lowering or relocating.

Might help to tell us what kind of boat - deep V hull 22 ft.? bass boat with shallow V hull? Some need the transducer closer to the centerline of the vessel while others do better more outboard, Naturally they need to be flush with the hull no matter where they are located. Depending on the transducer, you could also try properly mounting it inside the vessel near the transom. Good new is you are getting good info from it. Cheers Pete

Check the transducer for cracks or large amounts of growth. Also make sure the transducer is still in the correct position as when installed. Next check the entire length of the cable to make sure there are no breaks, kinks, or stress points.
If you have to send it back for service MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP ALL OF YOUR DATA AS IT CAN BE RETURNED BLANK!
