I have an older encore record player and I need a needle as inexpensible as possible

Can find this. Can't even find the company. And the only manual for a variation doesn't even list contact information. Saw where the stylus was made in Japan. Hi. Some amplifiers provide power for a record deck (or you mean a vinyl record player). Some vinyl record player have their one amplification system, some don't. Those with the amplification system work fine on older amplifiers but others require a back-up power, like a transformer to provide power for the record player. You need to enquire with the store person on the type of record deck or record player you can use directly with the V6090. I had an early Pioneer Amplifier and a matching record player so that I could play the vinyl disc and LP's on full volume. Later I switched to digital Pioneer 7 channel. This couldn't accept the record player because it did not have a power substitute like the older Pioneer. So, when the record player plays, no signal is being sent to the amplifier and therefore, no music is heard, except from the needle.

If you've had for awhile and have not cleaned, that could be one possible problem. Suggest purchasing and using a CD/DVD cleaning kit. These are inexpensive.
Another possibility is to check the disc(s) that you are trying to use. Older players will not recognize many of the newer recordable disc formats like DVD +R or DVD -R and DVDRW. This especially includes dual-layer and high definition formats like HD DVD and Blu-Ray.

There should be an "anti-skate" adjustment to control the arm moving across the record. It is possible that lubrication has stiffened up as well. This unit may need a general overhaul/cleaning.

Do a search for Crosby turntable cd recorder.... they are the same as the AWA.... and then you can find the make of needle etc.
