There has been more than one Simplicity sewing pattern with the number 8024. I don't know which one you are sewing with.

The current Simplicity sewing pattern I have found is:

You may be hoping that a volunteer answerer for Fixya will see your question and will also have a pattern and instructions for Simplicity 8318, Misses', Men's, and Teen's Kimono Costume.

I doubt that will happen.

In the 90 years through which Simplcity has produced patterns for clothing and other projects, I have found 5 different patterns identified as 8608. There may be more.

I have attached the images of the 5 patterns I found, so you can identify the 8608 pattern you are asking about.

You may wish to contact the Simplicity company directly and ask if the sewing instructions for "your" pattern are in the company archives and if you can purchase a copy of the instructions.

You need to study how to alter a pattern to fit your measurements. Most often, it is recommended to purchase a pattern to fit the bust and then alter the others to fit. You can go to the library and check out some pattern fitting books.

The best thing is to purchase some inexpensive fabric, ie muslin, and use it to make a trial garment. Making a trial garment will help you fit it to your body plus you don't waste your nice fabric on something that won't fit.
