How do I get moe app options in the Google App Store on my Sony TVs only seem to have a few to choose from

Google Play Services needs to be updated from time to time. It seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. You can go into Settings - Apps and then ALL and scroll to find Google Play Services and then click on it. The screen that comes up will give you the option to clear the cache and clear the data.

First clear the cache. Then see if that solves the problem. Likely it won't. Then you can clear the data. It that doesn't work for you then click on *uninstall updates.* This will reset the Google Play Services to original factory. Reboot and make sure you have a good wi-fi connection as the Google Play Services should connect to the Google Play Store and update automatically. If it doesn't, then open the Store app and select *My Apps* *All* and scroll to Google Play Services.and click *Update*.

Note: the Store App, itself, might be slow and balky until the updated Play Services is installed and running.

Here's a hint. If you do the above and delete the updates from the Google Play Services app on your device, when you boot up your device might act balky - just give it a few minutes as it's probably connecting and downloading the Google Play Services updates automatically. Google Play Services is important for just about everything that communicates with Google so don't expect all the other Google apps to work until the updated version of Google Play Services is installed and working.

With Google Play store sometimes updates don't go as planned when it updates the actual app that is used to download other items to your phone. Best way to fix this is to go to [Apps] --> [Settings] --> [Apps or Application Manager] Choose [All] from the tabs to choose. Then scroll down till you find [Google Play or Play Store] From here you can click on it and then choose "Uninstall Updates" after this is completed you should be able open play store again like normal, select Yes to the terms and conditions and then be back up and running again.

Do you want to change the default SMS app on your phone? If so, you can go to the Apps > Settings > Apps > Messaging App > And choose option to restore defaults. Then find a different default messaging app from Google Play Store and choose it as your messaging app.

I am assuming you want to know how to install a new home launcher on an Android device (phone/tablet). There are many good ones that can make your old phone or tablet seem like a totally new experience if you're bored with the same old one. Most offer free versions and have, for usually a few dollars, a paid version. They often refer to these as Pro, Donate, Plus, or other names. Just search the Google play store (or any other app store you have access to) with the device and install it. If you're downloading the installer file separately then let me know and I can walk you through the steps necessary.
Do a search on the android app store of your choice (Google Play, AppBrain, Amazon App Store, etc) and install the one you want.
After the installation is complete you will be prompted for an action upon pressing the Home key on your device. You will have to choose to always use the option you choose or just this once. Depending on your version of Android you will have a little checkbox or two buttons labled "Always" and "Just This Once." After that just set up your new home launcher how you like.
If you want to get back to your old one without uninstalling the new one then go to the Settings menu (for the device, not for the launcher). Open the "Application Settings" and find the launcher. Click/touch on it and find a button labled "Clear Defaults" and press it. Finally just press the Home key and you'll be promted to choose the launcher you wish to use.
