My printer status monitor shows that my printer needs a service & also this: "Parts inside your printer are near the end of their service life. See your printer documentation." I have a Epson Stylus CX4300.

Seems fairly obvious..the printer status monitor senses you have printed X number of pages and according to their specifications, it has reached the end of its useful life. This of course is completely arbitrary..they want to sell you another printer. Just like all the complaints you hear about print monitor that says ink cartridge is empty when it obviously is not..they want to sell you more ink. If the printer continues to print satisfactorily...I wouldn't worry about it...you just have to deal with the occasional annoying popup from print monitor

Need to reset waste ink counter. SSC latest version does not support for this type. Use Adjusment program to clear waste ink counter. Try to find at indoreset.blogspot.com. Contact me if you have still have problem.

You have just to reset the printer , like that it will be like a new one, and if you need any help i can give you in return you too, cause i have all the printers resetter software you have just to contact me in my msn [email protected] , i'm waiting your answer

SSC does not work on that model . . also don't replace the ink pads install a external waste ink tank instead, then reset the printer using reset program . . search on eBay for epson waste ink tank, search ebay for "Epson Waste Ink Tank" it comes with reset program.
