A bad checksum can be caused by a flat or near flat BIOS battery. Replace the battery and set the date and time.
Also set the BIOS to the default setup, ie go to reload default settings, or remove the BIOS battery for 1/2 hour the insert the battery and set the Date and Time.

Hi there,

It is possible that your CMOS battery is low or your BIOS is having problems already. You flash your BIOS and see if it works. It is very risky though it something goes wrong it will make your motherboard unusable.

When I make changes in bios they won't save. F10 doesn't work

If you are also experiencing a problem saving the date and time in the BIOS, then you probably need to replace the CMOS battery. Also, chech to see if the CLEAR CMOS jumper on the mobo is set in the correct position.

You can upgrade your bios, you just need to visit the motherboard manufacturer site where you can download the latest bios.

You can also try to reset the bios first, you can reset it to default settings and if that will not work then you can upgrade the bios.

A8N32-SLI Deluxe - Can not Load 'ASUS UPDATE' fro CD

It's not you. Asus's program from the CD doesn't function as you might except. You'll need to download, ASUS Update V7.06.02 Install Program for Windows 2000/XP/2003 & 64bit Windows XP/2003 within Bios Utilities. And flash your Bios from a floppy. Than download the Bios version you want. Having trouble getting the file to unzip? Download again but this time choose a different site. Like (Global) instead.
