SOURCE: 97 gsxr600 no spark

This might sound dumb but I had a similar problem with my 05 750 tap the bottom of the ignition switch with a hammer or what ever you can get in there and see if that works, there are contacts on the bottom of the switch and on my mike they turn on the fuel pump and spark, I went through hell trying to figure it out and one day I decided to hit the bottom of it and the fuel pump kickied on, the cover on the bottom of the ignition was put on backwards and had loosened up, I switched it around and she runs great now.

SOURCE: alarm bypass. alarm system faulty

This had been done many times before.... But it is VERY involved and you HAVE to know what your doing. To bypass the little "chip" in the key, you have to know its resistance value in ohms, then you get a resistor of the exact same value and put it in-line in the wire that reads the chip in the ignition. Then you have tricked the system into thinking that the right key is always there. Like I said you have to know what wire it is, what kind of resistor, and what value to put in. However the payoff is no more expensive keys....keys without the chip will now start the car, sience you have tricked the passkey system into thinking the key has the chip in it.

I have a "low A/C output" message. Is this related to a faulty DVR or another board?

From the user manual: http://lit.powerware.com/ll_download.asp?file=Eaton%20FERRUPS%20User%20Guide.pdf page 108.

The output voltage is below the alarm setting as determined by setup parameters 59 and 60.

Verify the output voltage using a voltage meter. If correct, verify setup parameters 59 and 60. If alarm condition continues, bypass the UPS and turn the UPS switch off. Call your service representative.

I have an Eaton 9355 20kva system. Theres an alarm #188 Bypass Failure and notice#105 Bypass Not available. The batteries are also not charging or the battery current is reading 0 amps. When the power goes...

Bypass failure is the same as your input unless you have a dual input. You lost power and the UPS did not hold the load because the batteries are bad. Replace the batteries and you will be ok.

Hello, we have a Powerware 9120 and our question is: If you set the BYPASS option, can the batteries load?? Thank you

Not sure what you mean by load the batteries. Replace them? Yes. Bypass mode is typically used when servicing the unit. You can email Eaton if you like: [email protected]
Here is the legacy documentation page for the 9120 UPS:

How to take ups in manual bypass mode.

You definitely want to follow the manual procedure to avoid a possible load loss:

http://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/Backup-Power-UPS/9390.aspx?cx=3

9.1.4 Transfer from Normal to Bypass Mode
To transfer the critical load to Bypass mode:
C A U T I O N
In Bypass mode, the critical load is not protected from commercial power interruptions and abnormalities.
1. Press the CONTROLS pushbutton on the main menu bar. The System Controls
screen appears.
2. Press the BYPASS pushbutton on the System Controls menu bar.
The UPS transfers to Bypass mode and the critical load is immediately supplied
by the bypass source. If the bypass source is not available, the power processor
remains on and an alarm sounds.
3. The UPS is now operating in Bypass mode and the BYPASS status indicator is
illuminated.
The power module (PM) status indicates READY. The system is now on bypass
and the UPS power processor remains on.

At this point, you can operate an external bypass switch to get to maintenance bypass if needed.

Forgot password of Adtran NetVanta 1224R Switch

  1. Recovering passwords requires direct physical access to a unit. This procedure cannot be performed remotely over Telnet, SSH, or the Web GUI.
  2. Connect a straight through serial cable to the console port of the unit.
  3. Configure a VT100 session (i.e. HyperTerminal or ProComm) using the following settings: 9600 bps, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit and no flow control.
  4. Reboot the unit by removing the power.
  5. As the unit boots, you will be given the opportunity to break into bootstrap mode by pressing the ESC key within 5 seconds.
  6. While in the monitor mode issue the following commands:
Bootstrap# bypass passwords
Bootstrap# boot

Notice that you are issuing the boot command not the reload command following the bypass passwords command. Once the unit has finished booting up, you can issue the enable command and you will not be required to enter the privileged (i.e. enable) password. Once you are in privileged mode, you can view the configured passwords by using the show run command. A new password can also be entered by going into global configuration mode by using config terminal command and issuing the enable password <word> command where <word> is the new password. Also remember to change any Telnet, SSH or Web GUI passwords if necessary.

Below is a sample output of these steps:
