Re: My battery went flat and I jump started my car...
Samantha, You need the VIN and the radio serial number. Take those into a Holden dealer to get the radio code and programming instructions from the dealer. They may want a small fee for the #. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Hi Cheryl Im not sure if i am missing something in your question but the way i understand it is what you are asking is, you have the key in your hand you press a button on your key and you can lock and unlock your car doors (normal) You are also pressing a button on your key and expecting your car to start (not normal). The standard VT as far as I'm aware this option was not availible as standard on the VT. However It may have had this fitted at some stage as an accessory fit .Do you know if this has ever worked if not then i would say it probably is not fitted. I have never seen one fitted to a VT. If you are 100% certain it has worked then I would take your vehicle to an auto electrician as i am fairly sure its not a holden system fitted. If you are saying that your key works the doors ok but when you put the key in the ignition and turn to start nothing happens then the fault could could be one of many and really needs to be plugged into a diagnostic computer. There is a steel ring that surrounds the ignition switch this picks up the signal from your key and passes onto an on board computer which allows your vehicle to start. I have replaced many of these rings for such a fault, this can be properly diagnosed by a Holden dealer . Good luck
I dont know if holden barina uses the same stereo as a US GM vehicle, but if it is a delco stereo (same as US models) then any gm dealer can retrieve the scrambled code and call their automated system to get the unscrambled unlock code. Just make sure if they do this for you to have them disable the theftlock system. With theftlock disabled a dead battery will not cause you any further problem. Hope this helps.
