The d.c.m module( your seat switch) controls the window operation and seat operation. It also relays signals to other control modules on the data system. does any other components not work? You can unplug certain connecter but not the main can connecter to the data bus. For the hell of it check the fuses. I beleive your schematic is located in the left side of the dash(behind plastic cover) visible when door is open. If not refer to owner's manual where the fuse schemstic is. good luck

1997 Sable Driver Seat Only Moves 2 Inches At A Time

Could be the switch, but it sounds like the motor is going bad. However, I dont know if you tried to lubricating the tracs. Some of these seats are on ball bearings and some on nylon bushings, either way they need to be lubricated once in a great while. Have you tried to help the seat to move by pushing in the direction it is going to see if it speeds up. If so, the seat motor is going out or the tracks are binding up. I hope this helps.

I pulled the seat all the way forward on my 1990 Mercedes 420 see and it will not go back. When I push the seat back button I hear a faint click but no movement. My passenger seat doesn't make a noise...

use the buttons to move it back but shake the seat side to side. sounds like your track on the seat has gotten in a bind with the one on the floor. just wiggle and jiggle till it starts to move and dont go all the way forward in the future

the seat adjuster assembly is bad. i was a chrysler tech for 15 years. the motor that runs the forward and back is either bad or the tracks are bad and it is binding. you can not get parts for it. you will have to buy a new complete adjuster or see if a boneyard may have a good used aseembly. Don

Front driver seat only moves apx. 2" back from the front of the track. Fuses are good. Back of seat controls work. The pre sets do not move the seat back.

Make sure there is nothing obstructing the seat from under the seat track.Sometimes things fall down there and will jam the seat track.Move the seat up all the way and look it over real good under the seat.Hope this helps.

The front driver seat on 2004 Camry is stuck

Perhaps an item got caught under the seat and possibly affected the linkage wire between rail tracks.A small linkage wire trips the console side track.Without this, that particular track will not disengage.Look under the good working passenger side seat and you might notice this linkage wire.It will then give you an opportunity to see if it works well on the inop seat. You can pull that wire(or trip that linkage arm by hand if you are in a dilemma and need the seat moved in order to drive but use caution on these moving parts and dont get pinched.

Driver's side front seat won't move

It is likely the gear on the motor came off track with the seat. The seat will have to be removed and bottom panel disassembled.
