See you CPU's backside you will find two different speaker input saket (in green ,yellow or pink) fix your speaker pins in their colors and the speaker will work

I had the same problem one time and it was a loose connection in the speaker. I will work on any computer but I stay away from anything else. :-) A buddy opened her up and fixed her for me. If it is new, think about taking it back to the store. Thank goodness the prices have come down so much that I am considering getting Bose instead and blasting myself onto the wall behind me. :-)
