Tried resetting but still will not switch on. Could it be the microprocessor is faulty? It is a JVC Model KD-G502

Press the "SEL" key for more than 2 sec. Turn the volume to set HH for hour and MM for MM by +/- button.

There is a misprint on manual concerning setting the clock. This is the case for similar JVC mobile head units.
The proper way to set the clock for this unit is:
1.)Hold down 'SEL' button count to 3 seconds
2.)Immediately after release of 'SEL' button hit the '>>|' button
This will allow you to enter 'PSM' menu. Every time you press '>>|' it will cycle between, 'CLOCK HOUR','CLOCK MINUTE', and 'Demo' Mode.
3.)Adjust settings by using the 'turn knob' and make sure 'Demo' mode is set to 'Demo Off' for the clock to stay set.

yellow= b+ fuse
blue= to amp amplifier
white= +left front speaker
white/black left front - front speaker
gray= + front right
gray/black= - front right
green= + rear left
green/black= - rear left
purple= + rear right
purple/black= - rear right
black = ground---to car metal
orange with white line to illimination

Press SEL button
Scroll through the PSM menu items with |<< and >>| until you come to CLOCK H
Adjust by turning the VOL knob
press |<< or >>| again until you get CLOCK M
Set again with the VOL knob - then press SEL again to exit.
