How do I remove the brain box on a 2004 chevy aveo

We are replacing the clutch and have reached the point of removing the starter, but we can't find a way to get to the top bolt other than removing the brain box. How do we disconnect the brain box without damaging it?

SOURCE: Chevy S10 Pickup Starter. Removed the two bolts

Just changed a starter in a 94 S10 4x4. The only way to remove the starter was to take the passenger side exhaust manifold off and bring the starter out that way. Installation the same in reverse. Hope this helps. Don

SOURCE: 2004 chevy aveo cylinder head bolt torque how many

Step 1: 18 lb.-ft.
Step 2: additional 60 degrees.
Step 3: additional 60 degrees.
Step 4: additional 60 degrees.
Step 5: additional 10 degrees.

Each step involves starting at the center two bolts of the head and alternately tightening in a criss-cross pattern, ending with the bolts on the outer edge of the head.

You might try calling a auto parts house and ask if the replacement part for your car has two or three contacts points. on the switch. Could it be when you push the clutch the position switch has 2 wires from one contact which goes to different places.

Where is the starter solonoid located 04 aveo

You will need to verify if the starter solenoid is getting power when you are attempting to crank it. I dont have a diagram, but the clutch switch may be the problem if you must depress the clutch to start the engine.
