Can it be adapted for a wall outlet?

First its not a Whistler product, its a Fuzzbuster product. The unit's power cord should be fused with a 2 amp fuse and the center pin of the plug is positive.

This Radar detector requires 12 volts DC, center pin positive and at least 250mA.

First this is not a Whistler Product. Second what is the problem with the unit? Is it a F3500 or F4000?

The 1430 is an old detector and the manual is not available online. Have you checked Whistler's FAQ page at their website? www.whistlergroup.com Its a basic unit and just plugging it in and turning it on is all you need to do.

If you know of someone that has a Whistler radar detector, try to see if your unit will work with it. Sorry but Fuzzbuster is not a Whistler Product but manufactured by Fuzzbuster which i beleive is no longer in business.
