Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. SOURCE: Sony Vega Digital TV model KD-28DX50 U

the symptom is usually caused by a breakdown in the power supply circuit. in most modern receivers (transistorized and/or ic), it may also be caused by a breakdown in the horizontal deflection circuits (hor. oscillator, pre-drive, or drive circuits). supply voltages for the tuner, vif, sif, and vertical output are usually supplied by the horizontal output circuit. but if you doesnt know anything about these stuffs, better bring it to a qualified service technician

SOURCE: tv stuck in standby

I believe these Sony TV's have a built in obsolesence and Sony does not care about fixing them. I don't think a 7-year old TV is an "old model". Who can afford to by an expensive TV every 7 years. Shame on Sony.

SOURCE: SHARP 29" TV switching off to Standby

have you tried changing the batteries just to elimate this problem

change them

sometimes if the batteries are low in electronic devies, they send a wek signal to its receiver (your tv),

your tv gets confused and then switches itself to standby

if you have changed the batteries and this problem still persists

it can only then be th PSU or power supply unit, take it to your local tv repair shop of mastercare somewhere like that, its going to be cheaper to get it repaired than replacing the whole tv

PSU'S generally 20 to 50 pounds depending on model

don't deo it yourself though unless you've got a capacitor discharger (or a nice 25KV will be on its way to your body)

hop this helps mate, let me know how you get on

SOURCE: Dmtech TV is stuck in stanby mode

The problem IS PROBABLY BEING CAUSED BY A SHORTED POWER REGULATOR (MX084 ) OR AN OPEN FUSEABLE RESISTOR IN THE POPWER SUPPLY...

Tv standby

If your TV is stuck in standby mode, and does not wake up with the remote, either the remote is faulty (did you check the remote batteries?) or the TV is. Inexpensive current TVs do not have manual buttons on the TV, they depend on the remote for everything.

My panasonic crt tv stuck on standby mode only

Hi. Replace the batteries in you remote control already ?
Normally, every TV can be switched on using the local "channel up/dwn " buttons. If this does not work, then there is a more serious problem at hand.

I have a panosoinic tv model CT-2013SA and my son typed in a parental code and forgot it

Hello

There is a way to unlock Panasonic TVs. It will work on most of the Panasonic sets. Just try it.

Panasonic sets need to be reset to clear the v-chip settings. To do this, put it in standby mode, that is, switch on the set by its front panel power switch, and put it off by remote hanset, [standby position], then press the POWER and ACTION buttons at the same time and then turn the power off. The set should reset to the factory defaults, and reset the v-chip.
OK.

Setting humax foxsat hdr remote to control panasonic tx32lxd60 tv

Had the same problem with my panasonic - it would appear that none of the codes will actually turn the TV off because they need a longer signal to turn off. I eventually found that code 0650 works for mine - input the code as instructed in the manual and then selected OK - holding down the standby button on the humax controller then turns the TV off. Try all the codes and see which gives most control functions. Hope this helps.
