My Samsung UA55D7000 can turn ON but it automatically turns on and off immediately (with clicking sound). There are also some vertical lines that appear occasionally.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Thanks Knight. I couldnt find anything on the UA55D7000 on either blogs. When you say main board which one are you referrring to? I open the TV and there are 3 board - a) Power, b) T-con and c)the board where all the hdmi/connections are. The capacitors on the Power board seem ok as there are no leakages. The Samsung guy came over and looked at it for 5 mins (without openning) said I had to replace the panel (huh...??) It couldnt be the panel right? Has to be something with the board right?

Samsung TV LN32A550P3F problems. About 4 minute after turning on screen displays some picture with vertical lines & a lot of louder white noise over the normal sound.

Please check sound on main power board. Could be a failing component that is heating and not functioning normally that is causing interference and thus the vertical lines.

I have a sharp tv. the problem is when i turn on the unit it shows a single horizontal line then immediately relays clicks then turns to stand by mode. i already change the vertical ic.

Vertical scan output failure. That is the reason for this horizontal line, right across the center of the screen. Check and replace damaged component/s at it vertical scan output section circuit. Check the solder terminals of the vertical scan output IC; for any loose solder points. Contact any service technician, if you're not handy in electronics.

I recently had my tv repaired for diode problem,it is a samsung LNT4066FX/XAA flat screen. Now instead of clicking sound and not turning on the power bar at bottom stays blue and the picture has color...

Well the capacitor problem usually causes power up problems. If your tv comes on now it sounds like you dont have the same problem.Vertical lines are usually caused by bad flat panel or dirty ribbon cable contacts on flat panel connections.

I think you have a vertical problem. Turn up screen voltage to see if there is a tin horizontal line across screen. If so replace vertical output IC and the 100uf/35v capacitor in the vertical circuit.
