In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Thanks Knight. I couldnt find anything on the UA55D7000 on either blogs. When you say main board which one are you referrring to? I open the TV and there are 3 board - a) Power, b) T-con and c)the board where all the hdmi/connections are. The capacitors on the Power board seem ok as there are no leakages. The Samsung guy came over and looked at it for 5 mins (without openning) said I had to replace the panel (huh...??) It couldnt be the panel right? Has to be something with the board right?
