How can I get 'foodsaver full' light to shut off after I cleaned it?

This is from a Benjaman post last year.......

"My tray and contacts were perfect but the error persisted. I hacked the unit by unplugging the 3 pin connector that run from the contacts to the controller board. This got rid of the tray full error light and allowed me to resume using the unit. I will just have to check the tray manually when sealing wet foods."

Odds are it is dirty and the vacuum sensor is plugged. That makes it think the vacuum is complete. So it seals. Check the instructions or a youtube and clean it. You need to use the exact cleaning instructions. Odds are that will fix it.

Pull out the long rubber piece on the top, clean any debris, replace firmly.

Hair dryer. Remove both tray inserts and dry thoroughly, paying special attention to the sensor area in the center of the upper tray.

Have the same problem. I'm looking for a solution too. The tray is dry and clean as a whistle. I cleaned all elect. connections and even dryed it all around with a hair dryer.

The tape trick didn't work for me. Had to cut the wires. Works for now.

Place a small piece of electrical tape over the contacts on the fluid tray. This will allow the machine to operate but you'll have to manually check the tray for liquids/cleaning.

I had the same problem and got this information from Foodsaver:

Turn Foodsaver unbit on and press the cabncel button. That should release the unit for cleaning.

It worked for me!
