Do not put batteries in remote first ,instead plug in ROKU power plug and connect RCA or HDMI cables to Tv.Now put in batteries in remote, push home button on remote it should be sending a signal to your ROKU box, this may take a few minutes. If if it getting a signal a purple screen will show up on TV with the words ROKU in white, hit home button again and it should show connecting on your tv.If it connects it will give you a code ,write this down,it will also tell you to go to a ROKU site on the internet, enter that good on ROKU internet site and it will go through the ROKU account process. You need to give them information like a credit card.Roku will suggest channels many are free others you have to pay for others like HBO,Netflicks. Some have a free week or monthly trial offer,if you don't want them make sure you remove them from your ROKU account before the trial offer or they will start billing you on your credit card. You can search for channels on ROKU tv site.Depending on which ROKU you have you can get up to 2,000 channels most are free.

reset tv back to manufactures settings, than setup like new setup by going to settings, go to automatic tuning so the tv can setup channels and radio if you have a smart tv type, when you go to settings you setup channels and save than go to find radio signals for tv. automatic scan., save, you should be able do everything through the remote. take your time, do not rush or you may start a few times. here is some place to get more help.

THE TV IS CONNECTED TO CABLE BUT THE PICTURE COME OUT STATIC WHAT IS THE PROBLEM

Check your setup instructions for your TV. f you're actually using a cable TV service, your setup would be different than for on-the-air TV. Normally - using your remote - press MENU then SETUP and select Cable TV. I'm assuming your TV isn't an older model TV.
