How do I shut off that annoying "beep, beep, beep" when it's time to change thread?
Change your needle more often and check needleplate for burrs
Don't use Sulky thread. I have had so many problems with it and I was blaming my Designer 1. I took it in to Viking to have them check it and they sat with me for two hours working on a design with Robison-Anton thread (no problems), Madeira thread (no problems) and Sulky. The Sulky thread kept breaking and causing my machine to beep saying my thread had broken when it hadn't. Word of caution when buying thread - don't buy it at an authorized sewing machine store, as they will charge you a LOT for it. Viking wanted $11.00 for Robison but I found it at Allstitch.net for half that price. I would recommend Robison-Anton or Madeira. Good luck!
When i,m doing a machine embrody the thread will fray in the needle and spoil the whole design, i,m afaird to do anything on a piece to keep. what is the best thread to use
You can't. Believe it or not, it is supposed to be helpful! I know it is annoying though. I have owned my Husky for 10 years and it isn't something you can get rid of.
