No help when I ask the first time, but it says I cant get the internet. guessing I have messed it up pretty bad trying to fix it, I was hoping someone could walk me through to correct my mess. But I noticed someone said something about rebooting...how can I do that?
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime G530: How to reboot phone (internet not working: follow up for previous question)
At times, the best way to fix a frozen/acting up phone is to just turn it off then turn it back on, since for whatever reason software applications can clash or use up too much RAM or something and cause issues.
There are 3 ways to do this.
1) if possible, remove the back battery cover, take out the battery, put battery back in, and hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn on your device

2) Hold down the power button for a few seconds until your phone completely shuts off and powers down.. then hold the power button down until the phone starts booting back up
3) with the screen unlocked and on, press the power button once, a popup menu will show, select reset
(this is NOT a Hard Reset like Justin explained.. a Hard Reset factory resets the whole phone wiping everything clean, deleting all your data on the phone in the process)

If it still does not work.. you may need to reset your APN settings. Best to contact your Carrier Service Provider Customer Support on a different phone so that they can walk you through how to do that. Ask Tech Support if they can check the service on their side. Some times resetting their side will help. Sometimes Customer Service will tell you that there was a service outage explaining why it's not working.
.
You can hard reboot most phones by simply pressing and holding the power button, you should get a pop up menu and select restart. If your data connection is not working, go into settings > Connections. Make sure airplane mode is off you will see an airplane icon in your notification area if it is on. Also go under More Networks > Mobile networks and make sure yours is in the correct mode and not disabled You may want to contact your service provider to confirm which mode it needs to be in.
