They dont list just a bearing for the armature. They sell as an assembly. The part number for it is 629831-4. if you want to look at a breakdown of this tool go to Makitatools.com and type in your model number and click on parts breakdown.

Check and make sure you put the clutch pack in right and not backwards. That is what it sounds like happened.

SOURCE: how to dismantle a makita

Check out the split drawing on this page.
If your makita does not have any outside accessible brush caps, you need to dismantle it.
lay it on the side, where the side with the screws securing the to halves together is facing up.
Remove all screws (some may be hidden under labels etc.) Gently pry the halves apart, locate the brushes disconnect their leads if any, and remove. Install new brushes and make sure the move freely, and that they are springloaded when in place. Gently rotate the rotor to ensure everything is ok . Reassemble and test drill. If the brushes leaves long streaks of noticeably large sparks, something has gone wrong or the rotor was damaged in the first place, causing excessive wear.

CANNOT REMOVE CHUCK ON Makita DA3010F

To remove the chuck, unscrew the 4 screws that hold the chuck housing to the body of the drill. Put the chuck housing in a vise & remove the bearing retainer... it has a left hand thread, so righty loosey. Once the bearing retainer is out, the chuck slides out of the housing. Don't waste time looking for a screw because there isn't one.

The screw point got stuck inside of the makita

Low quality steel drill bits get stuck in the Makita because the hammer impact squashes the metal, forming a ridge that gets snagged on the anvil's steel ball bearing. Use only impact drill bits.

Makita 6301LR right angle drill How to change speeds within the right angle assembly ie how to get the damn thing apart! It's off the drill body. Now how to proceed? Also: what are the hi and low...

OK first you need to remove the drill chuck from the spindle, you should have an allen wrench and an open end wrench, remove the chuck retaining screw it is left hand thread, after removing there is a drift pin that is inserted in the hole of the drill chuck and the wrench fits on the hex of the spindle, place the assembly on a block of wood with the pin at about a 30 degree angle so that you have the wrench as a support and would be hitting the pin counter-clockwise to loosen and remove, after removing the chuck screw it onto the OTHER spindle and tighten in the opposite manner, replace the screw and reinstall the RAD onto the drill, this will change the RAD (right angle drive) speed. Let me know if you need more assistance.

The ball retainer is missing from my 18V lithium impact driver and I can't hold a bit. How do I quick-fix this without messing anything up?

Contact Home Depot or Lowes in your area, they should be able to set you up or at least put you in contact with a supplier for that.

Hammer switch jammed on Makita HP1621K/2 Percussion Drill 2

I looked at Makitausa.com website and it appears that you might be correct. there are 4 parts to this assembly and one of the problems might be the cam holder position #17. I would suggest that you go to their site and take a look at how the parts are supposed to be. I used the model number in the large header so this might not be the exact one that you have. Let me know and I will try and help further.
