It seems to be that your dmd board might be going out, let's do this go to the menu and if you still have those colors, definitely your dmd board is taking its last breath :P but if they're not there, the issue is going to be with your video board

There is a horizontal line halfway 3/4 across the screen, it's not black it's just a different color.

I was just given this t.v because friends couldn't figure out what is wrong with itl. The colors don't line up right, looks kinda blurry depending on the lighting of the program being watched. How do i fix...

According to the manual:
1) go to the "TV Main Menu"
2) Select "Screen"
3) Select Adjust Projection TV (obviously only if a projection TV).
This then allows you to adjust the TV's 3-colors. Selecting GREEN CENTERING brings up a control panel that lets you center the green projection tube on the screen. Selecting RED CONVERGENCE or BLUE CONVERGENCE lets you align the Red & Blue projector tubes. Centre the green projector tube 1st. Then adjust the red & blue until the test pattern on the TV screen appers white.
Good Luck!

You have a completely different problem. The screen voltage for the blue picture tube is slightly too high on your set. This will put fine lines in the background of the picture, called retrace lines. This is very common and easy to correct. Remove the front speaker cover and the access panel behind it. Look inside and you will see a black box with six controls, each control having a little white glue on it. This is the Focus/Screen block. Three controls are labeled Focus and three are labeled Screen. The screen control in the center is for green but I am not sure if the screen control on the left or right is for blue for your model. With the TV on, set it to VIDEO 1 but do not connect anything to the VIDEO 1 jacks. This will produce a pure dark picture, showing any faint lines in the background. Choose one of the screen controls and increase (turn clockwise) it slightly. If the blue lines do not get brighter it means you are turning the red screen control, so put it back where it was and choose the other screen control. When you find the blue screen control, decrease (turn counter-clockwise) it until just when the blue lines are gone. If you want you can check that the red and green screen controls are set to just below the point where their faint lines are visible. When done, replace the panels and your picture will be back to perfect.

MikeNJ1964 was exactly right! I have a Sony KP-65WV600 that had horizontal green lines that showed when the picture was darker. I had to remove 3 screws on the right and left side of the tv holding in the speakers...carefully pop out the middle panel from the clips holding it in....remove 4 screws from the cardboard in the middle and remove the cardboard. I then saw the six screws. The adjustment screws were the three below. I turned the middle screw until the lines dissapeared. I tried the left screw and blue lines appeared which I then adjusted away.
THANKS a bunch. SAVED me money!!!

try to set the convergance if you cant you can adjust the color tubes from inside the tv but have to be very careful to do this. There is actually only 3 colors in the tv red, blue green so I would say your blue and green need lined up

Hitachi 57SWX20B 3D Effect due to green light convergence problem

I'm trying to fix the issue on my 43FDX20B. So far, I'm able to move the lines up and down, but can't get the left/right motion to fix it. The attached link has the dynamic mode instructions, so you can correct this issue yourself.

http://home.comcast.net/~leebailey00/Hitachi_DCAM_Manual.pdf

The only thing I didn't have was the screen overlay jig the manual talks about. I decided to create one myself and use the screen as a beginning template. I went to our local hardware store and picked up some home window weather covering. The roll cost about $15, is a clear strong plastic and the template was very easy to create. I used a straight edge after I put dots on the plastic and measured the lines for being square and equal after I took it off my tv. Good thing is that if you don't like what you make the first time, you have a 25' roll to use to try again (ha).
