That is a 44 error code. It means that the LVDS cable is not being detected. Make sure that you got it connected securely and that it didn't get torn. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: TV WONT POWER ON AND RECIEVING 4 YELLOW AND 4 RED BLINKS CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS CODE MEANS AND HOW TO FIX IT?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Powers on then off with 4 red binks then 2 amber?

A blinking red and yellow Status LED will indicate an Error Code that can help determine the cause of a circuit
failure.
• The number of Red blinks indicates the value of the (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The number of Yellow blinks indicates the value of the (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is "37", the LED will continuously blink Red three times, followed by blinking Yellow
seven times.

When i turn on my tv it tries to boot, blue mitsubishi home screen come up, i hear fan then it all shuts off while green light blinks.

Try a reset. Start by unplugging for 1 minute, then plug back in & if still won't restart try the following. If none of the following work, you will need a technician.

Ps3 shutdown

If the red light is blinking it means it is overheating.
If your confident its not over heating try this:
1: Turn off your ps3 so that only the red light is on.
2: Press and hold your finger on the ON/OFF button until you hear a beep.
3: Remove your finger quickly and replace your finger again until you hear a tripple beep.
4: Then a screen will apear, all you need to do is restore your factory defualt settings and your done.
(You might want to back-up all your data on the HD before doing this).

Hope this solves your problem for good im almost certain this is your best solution.

The power light stays red and if pushed to go on, only blinks red. There is a high pitched sound when it is plugged into the wall. I've tried unhooking the box from the antennae, the tv, and the wall...

Sounds like you have a high voltage issue with the power supply. The blinking light is actually a trouble code and some of these can be found in your manual, others can be looked up on the web if you type the make and model of the set and the number of blinks you should be able to track down the issue. If your not comfortable about working on the set then you will ned a repair person to check out the power supply and other boards on the set.

Hi,i have an hitatchi p50t501 plasma and i just put in on and everything was fine, then i put it on video 1 to put on direct tv, then i put it back on cable left the room and the tv light keeps blinking...

The Blue Blinking Light Hitachi.

When the light blinks 4 times it means you can possibly have 4 problems with your plasma.

1. X-Sus
2. Y-Sus
3. Power Supply
4. Sdr U or D

A good way to determine if you can fix this problem yourself is if you can build a PC. If you cant this can cost you upwards of 600$ to fix.

First get a flat area and lay a soft blanket down and lay your TV down so the back is up. Then goto your PC and goto Google and type "P50T501 Service Manual .PDF" you can buy it or if you look hard enough you can get it for free. Next in the service manual it will have a diagram of the Circuit Boards and their locations. Take the back off your Plasma and check the 4 boards. Look for burn marks, cracks, smoke mark. Take your time and look closely. When you find the broken boards unplug it and take the part number and find the replacement online. Plug it in and you should be good to go.

When i had 4 blinking lights i had to change my SDR U and D boards. They cost 100's a piece for Refurbished boards. Keep in mind im a contractor not a techno geek, and i was able to diagnose and fix my problem rather easy.
