How to fix unitscanner?

Remove flat bed scanner glass & optical scanner ( see the link ). gently open the scanner cover clean the surface of reflecting glass with ear buds. re fix as it is & check, if it is not resolved replace "Optical scanner assm" P. No:q2665-60108

Hi, unplugged its data cables for two hours. It exists inside the printer right or left hand depends on model. After two hours replug and you will see that your problem will have been fixed.

remove scanner glass and use compressed air to blow out the scanner

You have a bad scanner unit. It will cost as much to have it replaced as a new printer would cost.

you may want to check that printer is plugged directly into the wall socket, NOT the power strip. this can cause some issues.

Go to HP and download proper software, and drivers there is some scanner software in there to make scanner work.

You can fix that if you go in main control panael of printer .....

Try unplugging the cord to the printer and wait a few seconds and re-plug the cord again , print what ya have to print again/hope this helps .
