The red palm weevil, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, is a species of snout Beetle also known as the Asian palm weevil or sago palm weevil. The adult beetles are relatively large, ranging between two and five centimeters long, and are usually a rusty red colour - but many colour variants exist and have often been misidentified as different species (e.g., Rhynchophorus vulneratus; ). Weevil larvae can excavate holes in the trunk of a palm tree up to a metre long, thereby weakening and eventually killing the host plant. As a result, the weevil is considered a major pest in palm plantations, including the coconut palm, date palm and oil palm

Look at bugs

Seriously?

Science has named and classified about 1 million distinct species of insect. You expect someone to name a million insects for you, so you can then go name a few bugs at school. Get real.

Do your homework properly. Get a book from the library and do some reading. You might learn something.

I have a 1998 volks beetle .. oil light has come on .. i checked oil .. says dry .. i add'd some .. then says fine.. then 10 min later says dry .. and there is no apparent leaks that i can see .. is...

If your dipstick reads dry, do NOT run the engine or drive it until you find the leak-there is no reasonable explaination for that condition, it is leaking somehow, period. If you insist on driving it, it will damage or destroy the engine in a very short time-get it checked out (have it towed), it is going to be a very expensive problem if you let it go.

A green insect attached itself to my dog's head above the right eye. It looked like a lump and had a soft shell. I think it was a beetle but am concerned about the possible effects of this event. Is this...

I don't know what your dog got into, but check out Squirrel lumps, and see if that is what it is. I don't know of any insect that will burrow into a live animal, besides a tick, and that is not an insect. hope this helps.

2000 Beetle has oil in the water resivor. What would cause this?

It sounds like your head gasket is blown. I would check the oil and see if there is water in it also. make sure someone didn't poor oil into the cooling system. Also i wouldn't recommend driving the vehicle especially if there is water in the engine oil or water in the transmission fluid. It will destroy the engine or transmission if there is water mixed into the oil of either component

What oil type do I use...2003 vw beetle?

if U live in a cold climate use 5W-30W, if u live in a moderate climate with hot summers use 10W-30W, any name brand meets your engines requirements. Do not use any oils heavier than these two, it can cause engine bearing damage.

Need help diagnosing problem

Sounds bad :-(
The "oil light" is an oil pressure light, which is different from what the dipstick measures. Without oil pressure to the engine's bearings they are quickly destroyed.

I fear you may have to replace the engine :-(
