Hi, normally it all depends on the network you are using. To get settings for gprs on your phone, you will have to contact the customer service center of the network you are using at the moment.They are the only one that can guide you on how to get settings on the phone.

The only thing I can help you with is the data getting erased. Often If you don't have the sidekick package lots of data get's erased including your contacts.
Do you have the Sidekick data plan from t-mobile? If not, the data is not being stored on the Danger servers and will delete when you phone dies. You also need that for the web, chat, and email.
Al right what you want to do is go to a T-mobile store and regester your device... But then the only way to do that is getting the sidekick plain with them and when there will be a G instead of the phone icon... When you turn your phone off then back you will be able to put a username and password on it...

Every time i turn on my sidekick 3 it says your gprs account is incorrect.
